Excited to announce that my ten minute play, Yellow Means Caution, will have its international premiere at Short+Sweet Manila next weekend! This is the first of my plays to go up outside of North America, and I couldn't be more thrilled. It was almost one-thirty in the morning Sunday when we heard host Victor Isaac enthusiastically announce the words we were praying to hear.... "Coming back next week... Back from the wilderness!
Spent the weekend at a vacation home in Frazier Park with members of the Theatre Unleashed Writer's Den. Managed to edit 80 pages of The Young Argonauts while I was there, and meditate on a few other projects. It was a glorious weekend. Laid back and fun. Such wonderful company, too. Thank you to Jim, Lisa, Joe, Greg M., Brandie, Eric and Ben...

Gone Writin'

Gone Writin'
I'm headed off to Frazier Park this afternoon with members of Theatre Unleashed's Writers Den. We're taking a weekend away from the world in a really nice vacation home, and writing. I've got four separate script ideas I want to work on and start fleshing out (including cranking out a third draft of The Young Argonauts). There's wifi at the h...

The Latest news from The Argo

The Latest news from The Argo
It's a miracle what deadlines can do for a busy person. Last Sunday, I messaged a bunch of my friends and asked them to come and do a reading of The Young Argonauts - the new play Mike and I are developing. There was one little loose end, though - I only had two-thirds of a second draft done when I put out the invite. So, after some serious c...

The story behind Super Sidekick at Festival of New American Musicals | Steve Julian

https://stevejulian.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/the-story-behind-super-sidekick-at-festival-of-new-american-musicals/

Every once in a while, I Google my plays to see if anyone has recently said anything about them. Today, I turned up an interview conducted by my friend Steve Julian, who recently lost his battle with cancer. I attended Steve's memorial service this past Saturday. I'd forgotten all about this, but I'm glad his site is still up and that I get to share it with you. This interview is just one of the many examples of how Steve showed his constant and unwavering support of the L.A. theatre scene. Give it a click and check it out.
